what if we all suddenly turn into trees?
i'm currently watching a series called the glory while painting my nails and i can't help but notice the trees outside my window.
it’s windy outside, which is good to carry the seeds of the tree. since they can’t move, they have to rely on nature... imagine having so much trust into something.
animals, birds, mice, etc. climb on their branches, shaking seeds and fruit as they climb, run along their branches, they eat the fruit and drop the seed, they carry the fruit, hide it “for later” which they will eventually forget. and then, the trees will have saplings.
or the wind, swaying the tree, causing thin branches to whip it’s leaves, shaking the seeds or fruit, carried by the wind, dropped to the ground, and then, sapling. on a trip in high school, when we were walking in the forest, our teacher told us that the part of a tree that has the most moss is north, i don't know if that's true, a quick search says not always. trees also age very slow. it takes them years to get tall and have a strong trunk that won’t be knocked down easily. you can count a tree’s life from it’s rings after being cut down.
i just had a quick thought, what if one day, we all just suddenly turn into trees... and age the same as them. for instance, if i were to turn into a tree now, later on, my branches would reach the window since that’s where the sunlight is. my roots will bury on the concrete to find water, this building i’m staying at will look like a cube with trees growing out of it’s windows and doors.
everything would be so still. drivers in cars, as a tree, will wear their car forever. it might carry the car in the air as they grow. it would be so peaceful, just listening to the sound of the trees. animals would live on us, nest on our branches, sleep under our shade, play on our branches, run around, crawl on us. we experience different weather’s and seasons. our leaves would change from green to red, or not, depending on which continent we are. we shed our leaves, we’ll be covered in snow. we’ll have animals live on us, we’ll witness life, departure, and death. as nature continues. earth is better off without us, will be more thankful that we stay in place and work as a part of it. not meddling. just letting her be.
touching upon this topic, i will read more on it. (i saw some books about it already) it’s interesting. what the world would be like if all men suddenly vanished. a rabbit hole i will be exploring. if you have any thoughts about this or books or anything, do share.
that's all for now, when you go outside notice the trees and listen to them.
my nails are dry for the top coat now and my laptop's needing charged.
