studying songs and flowers

we took the highway for a smooth ride but also blast music on the speakers and sing along to the songs.

they did. i chose to listen to songs i feel like listening to. wearing my earphones and tapped it for noise cancelling. i like "studying" songs. i had a dance teacher before that told us no matter what song or music we listen to we should study it. listen to the different instruments, how many are there (that reminded me of those nightmarish practical music exams where they play the exam audios in an old speaker and play it at max volume, you suffer to listen to an awfully monotonous voice that's static-y and almost robotic) listen to the different layers of the song, the bass, the hi-hats, the main voice, adlibs, count the beat, etc. it conditions your mind and body. that's one way i like to study songs for dancing. but this can also be applicable for singing. ever since i heard lo vas a olvidar by billie eilish and rosalía i was hooked. the harmonisation is so beautiful. and the many layers of their voices singing together with the main voice. i feel like i'm ascending every time i listen to the song.

what's a car ride with earphones on and not look outside the window. that's when i noticed them. these white dots scattered along the foot and side of small hills. i'm not good with flowers but they looked like a combination of daisies and poppies. i wish i can just ask them to park the car on the side of the highway and take pictures of it.

but they were nice to look at. flowers are always nice and interesting to look at. i mainly like the small ones. the ones that look like flashes of color in your field of vision and when you look at them closely you see their little details. some flowers are shaped perfectly like stars! the bitter stonecrop for example. ooh! saxifraga oppositifolia these little flowers i remember seeing them surrounded by a bed of moss in between rocks while wandering around on a hike. my favorite small flower would be forget me not. their shade of blue in green is so pretty. i could go on about flowers, maybe next post solely about flowers.
