i lost my rings... but they'll show up
i dont know if someone took my rings from the kitchen window when i took them off to wash my hands. or i took them from the window after i washed my hands and put them on and somehow they vanished from my fingers. or i took them off again but didn't place them in the kitchen window but elsewhere.
where could my rings be?
i tried looking around the house in places where i usually put my rings when i take them off.
i take my rings off when i wash my hands, play the guitar, draw, etc. 1. it's to protect the rings from any slight damage or mess 2. i prefer not having stuff in my fingers and wrists when i do something that involves my hands
this routine has consequences for such like me who has terrible memory. i also need to get myself checked because i seriously lack in time management and my memory isn't good. so, when you put two together.
taking off rings often + having a terrible memory = lost rings
in my culture, when you lose things and it seems like they vanished and you cannot recall the last place you left them, it's someone or something playing with you. they say it's a playful spirit or being. which reminds me of another superstition when you drop food it means something wanted it so they made the food drop so they can have it. "adda dumawdawat" meaning "someone's asking"
such superstitions sort of help i guess, eases the unnecessary stress a bit. they say when you stop looking for it, that's when it shows up.
as mentioned, they're playful, they probably find it amusing when you stress over something, and when you give up, when you lose interest in the hunt, they give it back to you because it's not fun anymore.
so that's me, i give up the search.
