30 day free trial
i've signed up for the 30-day free trial for BFI.
i still find it absurd how you subscribe to a streaming platform yet you have to pay for premium plus plus plus to access more films or music... anywho. i will be watching a lot of films and make most out of this free trial.
since i'm basically done with uni i have time to get back to my hobbies. reading books and watching films. tried to get back to reading when i bought the novel repetition by vigdis hjorth. the cover was pretty and the first page caught my attention. though, after reading 17 pages of it, i slammed it shut and realised what type of read it was, well is up to that point. it felt a lot to process emotionally. i'll grab it again when the nights are long.
yesterday i watched shoplifters by hirokazu kore-eda. it's my goal to watch all of his films.
today i watched Amélie (2001). the first 20 minutes of the film i already knew this was going to be one of my favorites and i loved it. it's a very refreshing film. any old film really. made me think what we've gained and lost in the timeline and evolution of what we then knew as art, as to what we know now.
next on my watchlist is... the florida project (2017). i'm in the mood to watch visually striking films. fun colors, camera angles, etc. more on technical stuff.
if you know such films, do let me know and drop a quick mail.
